Selling Merchant Accounts Since 1985
AVPS was established in Woodland Hills, California during the summer of 2000. However, Tiffany Segura, the founder of AVPS, has been in the credit card acquiring industry since 1985. She began as a receptionist and by 1989 she was selling merchant accounts for Peachtree/Advanced Payment Solutions. She sold state of the art equipment (Zon Jrs and Envoys) door to door in the greater Los Angeles area.
Every step of the way Tiffany worked hard to learn each new facet of the credit card industry. Being diligent and having a niche is the key to the success of any company. AVPS has created a niche through innovative solutions and merchant education, bringing new meaning to merchant processing. AVPS takes the utmost care in the area of underwriting, risk and merchant operations as it relates to both the merchant and the acquiring bank. AVPS works closely with industry specialists that help them stay up to date on regulations helping the merchant stay successful in their business. AVPS takes pride in only partnering with banks and merchants that will produce growth and profitability for all parties.
AVPS has partnered with gateway and terminal providers that know the acquiring industry and have properly designed their products to reduce transaction time and mitigate risk. AVPS will train the merchants when they first come on board and work hand in hand with them throughout the life of the account.
Most merchants are very proficient at their business, but not the business of credit card processing. Credit card processing has very detailed and specific rules that if not closely followed by a merchant can cause his business harm. In order to avoid that, AVPS will spend the time up front, when the merchant is first brought on board, to properly train them. With what we like to call Merchant Processing 101, we show a sincere commitment to the merchant by helping them identify any exposure they may have.
With access to the latest technology in credit card processing terminals and software, AVPS works with the merchant to help you install your new equipment, and provide you with ongoing professional training and support. Equipping merchants with the latest technology creates a partner that will stay with AVPS for the long term.
For the retail merchant, AVPS is compatible with almost every terminal that is made. If you are a long time retail merchant with an old Trans 330, AVPS can reprogram it. If you are a restaurant with special needs from your system, AVPS has one that will be compatible with your ordering software.
If you are a mobile merchant that needs to process credit cards on the go, AVPS has many solutions and provides many wireless terminals according to your needs. From local pizza delivery to international trade shows, we have a solution for you.
If you are starting on online business, eCommerce is our expertise, and we can work with you to make your shopping cart connect to a payment gateway a cinch.
Unfortunately, it is the merchant who ultimately faces the consequences to fraud. We are aware of this and this is why we take the extra step to decrease your risk. AVPS is not just an ISO, they are a part of their merchant’s business.
With the iSpyFraud Fraud Protection Program included with every merchant account, you will reduce the risk of charge backs significantly. Processing credit cards safely is definitely a chore, but in addition to our merchant training which covers the principle guidelines to secure and risk-free credit card processing, we offer the most state-of-the-art fraud protection software with tons of customizable features that will help you process credit cards comfortably.
As you can see, AVPS cares about the merchants in the same way a bank cares about their clients.
